Greensboro, NC - 'Tis the season for making promises and changes in your life, as 2013 begins.
And, while you're making your New Year's resolution be sure to understand the difference between that resolution and a goal.
News 2 spoke to Michelle Gethers-Clark, a life coach who says a resolution is a specific action, mandate or rule, while a goal is a plan to achieve a vision. Goals sometimes can be long-term, tweaked and don't have to be pass or fail.
And, as many people are looking to quit smoking or lose weight, it's important to know how to map out a plan to meet your goals.
In reality, how do you stick with it?
Gethers-Clark says, "Have a reasonable number and set out a course of action. What is it I'm going to do in the next 12 months, 24 months or 36 months? So, you can set out a real plan for the future."
She also added, set professional goals and personal goals for yourself in the new year.
Gethers-Clark just finished writing a book that encourages people to go to the next level. For more information, visit Michelle Gethers-Clark's website.
She also says to make sure that goals are sustainable and that they are tangible as you achieve your New year's resolutions.
