Burlington, NC -- Police arrested two suspects for assault, and another for drunk driving, after an early morning beating in Burlington Saturday.
Officers responded to Heavy's Lounge on E. Webb Ave. around 2:30 a.m. and found the victim, Donald Ray Wilder, 24, had been beaten on the property.
Investigators say several black men and women hit and kicked the man before driving away from the scene.
Police later found and stopped the car on Maple Avenue and determined at least two people inside were responsible for the beating. Officers arrested Dane Ronald Slade, Jr., 23, and Tamika Lashey Corbett, 30, and charged them with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Police arrested the driver, Ashley Deneen Watlington, and charged her with driving while impaired.
Wilder was treated and released from Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Slade and Corbett were placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $25,000 bond. Watlington was released.
