Triad -- High pressure is moving into position over the Carolina Piedmont. That means there will be mainly clear skies from now through Tuesday. However, the warm-up won't begin on those days. Highs the first two days of the week will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.
The warming trend will begin on Wednesday as our wind begins to shift more out of the South. By Wednesday, highs will be back in the mid to upper 50s. The same goes for Thursday.
By Friday, we bring in the best rain chance of the week. As of now, the chance is only 30 percent. It will also be the first day of a string of 60+ degree highs. Next weekend, highs will range in the mid 60s with mainly cloudy skies.
The average high this time of the year is 48.
