ASHEVILLE, N.C. (ACT) - A Leicester man is behind bars after police say he broke into a home and stole a refrigerator and stove.
James David Marler, 25, of April Lane, was charged Tuesday with breaking and entering and larceny and obtaining property by false pretense, according to warrants at the Buncombe County magistrate's office.
Marler is accused of breaking into a home on Potato Branch Road and stealing a refrigerator and stove valued at $2,000, then trying to sell the items for cash. Buncombe sheriff's officers made the arrest.
Marler is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $4,000 bond.
