GREENSBORO, N.C. The city of Greensboro announced Friday that council meetings will start earlier.
Beginning August 20, meetings will start at 4 p.m. - an hour-and-a-half earlier than previous sessions.
A statement from the city said the change is the result of "an effort to end its meetings at an earlier hour."
No changes will be made to the agenda. Residents who are unable to speak during the public comment period will have another chance to do so at the end of the meeting.
Meetings are held each month on the first and third Tuesdays; however, there are some exceptions during the year.
