BAGHDAD - Iraqi officials now say 69 people have been killed in a wave of car bombings today, mostly targeting cafes and markets around Baghdad.
The attacks came as Iraqis were out celebrating the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The death toll is the highest since July 20, when brazen assaults on two prisons near Baghdad plus other attacks left 71 dead.
