CROUSE, N.C. -- A woman held a gun to her 15-year-old daughter's head before shooting her and her son, according to a report from the Gaston Gazette.
Police told the Gazette they weren't sure what led to the incident on August 4.
New information on warrants obtained by the Gazette say the girl was in the bathroom when her mother put the gun to her head. Then her 28-year-old brother came and tried to wrestle the gun from his mother.
The daughter was shot in her left shoulder; the son in the hand, according to the Gazette.
The Gazette cited the warrants which said Tina Payne confessed to the incident.
Payne remains in jail without bond and faces charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Resulting in Serious Injury.
