MATTHEWS, N.C. -- One of the pilots killed in the UPS cargo plane crash in Birmingham, Ala. lived in North Carolina, according to a report from WBTV.
Cerea Beal Jr. lived in Matthews, N.C.
The plane, an Airbus A300, crashed near a field after flying from Louisville, Ky., early Wednesday morning.

The pilot and co-pilot were the only people on the plane, according to a UPS spokesperson; both died in the crash.
