RALEIGH, N.C. -- The National Security Agency (NSA) announced Thursday they are going to create a data laboratory on N.C. State's Centennial Campus.
The location for the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences will be near Research Triangle Park.
The NSA says the data innovation hub will bring "together some of the brightest minds from government, academia, and industry to collaborate on the most challenging big data problems."
The lab is expected to bring about 100 new jobs to the area over the next five years, according to a news release from the NSA.
No information was immediately available about the project's timeline.
