GREENSBORO, N.C. -- High pressure is nearly stationary off the New England coast.
A cold front will approach and slowly move into the Piedmont late Saturday. The front may remain over the area into Monday.
A somewhat moist, east to southeasterly surface wind will be over the area through Friday. This will produce variable clouds to partly sunny conditions over the Piedmont. There may be enough moisture to produce an isolated shower over the mountains and foothills in the afternoon. The high today will be 76 and 80 on Friday.
The approaching cold front will bring a 40 percent chance of showers Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. There will be a 50 percent chance of showers Sunday.
The high temperature Saturday will be 81, and 75 on Sunday. Lows at night will be in the lower 60s.
