HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Students at High Point University took time to honor a slain teacher while also spreading awareness about domestic violence.
Laurissa Armstrong, a High Point teacher was believed to have been killed in a domestic violence dispute back in August.
To honor her memory, students held a Wedding Dress Deconstruction. Students, along with members of the community took wedding dresses apart and made them into new pieces of art.
The art will be displayed at the YWCA and Welborn Academy where Armstrong taught.
