Winston-Salem, N.C.--The Dash scored a season-high 14 runs while blanking Potomac Wednesday afternoon at BB&T Ballpark.
Winston-Salem (10-8) dominated from the outset, putting together its most complete game of the season. The Dash hit a season-high five doubles, clubbed their first grand slam of the year, and held the Nationals to a season-low two hits.
Marcus Semien and Miguel Gonzalez rocked Potomac pitching, combining to knock in nine of the 14 Dash runs on the afternoon. Semien recorded all four RBI on a grand slam in the sixth. Gonzalez finished 3-for-4 with five RBI, which is the highest total by a Dash swinger this season.
Potomac (6-10) could not find a way to score. Ryan Buch (1-1) carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning before a Sean Nicol leadoff single. The Nationals loaded the bases in the fifth but could not score. The right-hander Buch left after the fifth with a one-hit shutout while striking out six batters. Four men out of the Dash bullpen combined to pitch four innings of one-hit ball to secure the victory.

Nationals starter Matt Grace (1-2) was knocked from the game in the sixth inning. The Dash posted six runs, five earned, and six hits on the left-hander. Wilson Eusebio entered in relief but yielded the grand slam to Semien.
The Dash scored in the eighth inning for the first time all season when Trayce Thompson blasted a solo shot to left for his third home run of the year. Winston-Salem loaded the bases in the inning before Miguel Gonzalez cleared them with a double.
