TUCSON, Ariz. - The 2012 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American team, selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, features a wealth of baseball talent.

The team is headed by Collegiate Baseball's Freshman Pitcher of The Year Carlos Rodon of N.C. State who posted a 9-0 record, 1.61 ERA and fanned 132 batters and Freshman Player of The Year OF Michael Conforto of Oregon St. who hit .349 with 14 doubles, 13 homers and 76 RBI.

Here is a rundown on the 2012 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

LHP Carlos Rodon, N.C. State - Rodon put together an incredible season with a 9-0 record, 1.61 ERA, 132 strikeouts and 41 walks over 111 2/3 innings. He was named a first team Louisville Slugger All-American, Pitcher of The Year in the Atlantic Coast Conference and Freshman of The Year in the ACC. He became the first freshman in ACC history named either Pitcher or Player of The Year. In addition, he became the first N.C. State freshmen baseball player ever to earn first team All-American honors.

RHP Mike Compton, Florida St. - A second team ACC pick, Compton was 11-2 with a 2.78 ERA for the Seminoles. In 16 starts, he struck out 57 batters and walked 26 over 81 innings.

LHP Brandon Leibrandt, Florida St. - Leibrandt was 7-2 with a 2.65 ERA and fanned 74 batters with 25 walks over 88 1/3 innings.

RHP Benton Moss, North Carolina - Moss was 7-2 with a 1.94 ERA and struck out 83 batters with 23 walks over 79 innings in 16 starts.

C Mark Zagunis, Virginia Tech - A second team Atlantic Coast Conference pick, Zagunis hit .344 with 13 doubles, 5 homers, 2 triples and 34 RBI. He also swiped 17 of 22 bases.

3B Trea Turner, N.C. State - A second team ACC pick, Turner has blazing speed and swiped 56 of 60 bases this season. He also hit .344 with 13 doubles, 5 homers, 2 triples and 42 RBI.

OF Derek Fisher, Virginia - Fisher hit .288 with 11 doubles, 8 triples, 7 homers and 50 RBI.
