GREENSBORO, N.C. - Three golfers from The First Tee of the Triad took park in Monday's Junior-Am at the 11th annual AJGA FJ Invitational at The Cardinal Golf & Country Club courtesy of a donation from Technology Concepts & Design.
The 11th annual AJGA FJ Invitational is set for June 11-15, 2012.
Anthony Atkins, 17, from Whitsett, N.C. recently attended Hank Haney's Junior Golf Academy with The First Tee.
Lindsey Ball, 18, from Winston-Salem, N.C. will attend Mars Hill College on a golf scholarship this fall.
The duo was joined by 12 year old Noah Dunn.
All three will play in Monday's Junior Am with the No. 1 junior golfer in the country, Shun Yat Hak of China and Lake Mary, Fla. Hak, who goes by Jason, is No. 1 in both the AJGA Polo Golf Rankings and the Golfweek Junior Rankings.
He will begin his college career at Georgia Tech this fall.
The AJGA FJ Invitational is a 72-hole invitational tournament that is considered a "major" on the AJGA tour; it is one of two AJGA tournaments at which the winner receives an exemption into a PGA TOUR event.
The winner of the FJ Invitational will play in the Wyndham Championship set for Aug. 13-19 at Sedgefield Country Club.
