Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - LaRon Armstead and Jarred DuBois each
scored 14 points as the Loyola Marymount Lions defeated the Pepperdine Waves
67-57 in West Coast Conference action at Gersten Pavilion.
Anthony Ireland and Drew Viney each added nine points for Loyola (14-9, 7-3
WCC), which has won four of its last five games.
For Pepperdine (8-14, 2-9) Taylor Darby led all scorers with 18 points. Joshua
Lowery chipped in 11 points for the Waves, who have lost nine out of 10.
Loyola took a 34-27 lead into halftime behind 43.8 percent shooting and 5-
of-10 from three-point range. Pepperdine shot just 37.9 percent from the floor
in the half.
The Lions kept their pace after the break, never allowing the Waves to get
closer than three points of the lead.
Loyola got 30 points out of its bench and converted 14 Pepperdine turnovers in
13 points.
