Muncie, IN (Sports Network) - A'uston Calhoun scored 27 points and pulled down
nine rebounds as the Bowling Green Falcons bested the Ball State Cardinals
61-54 in Mid-American Conference action at Worthen Arena.
Dee Brown finished with 12 points for the Falcons (12-11, 6-4 MAC) who have
won four of their last five. Jordon Crawford handed out six assists.
Jarrod Jones scored 14 points for Ball State (12-10, 4-6) which has lost five
straight. Aaron Adeoye put together the first double-double of his career with
a career-high 10 points plus 10 rebounds.
The Falcons led 28-24 at halftime after shooting 13-of-28 from the floor in
the first half, but missing all four of its three-point attempts. Ball State
was 11-of-26 from the field but just 2-of-10 from outside the arc.
BGSU led by six early in the second half but the Falcons rallied to take a
38-35 lead with 11:04 left in regulation. The game was tied three times
in the second half before the Falcons outscored the Cardinals 13-6 over the
final 4:05.
The Falcons scored 34 points in the paint and 17 points off 18 Ball State
turnovers.
