DeKalb, IL (Sports Network) - Tyler Storm scored 17 points to lead three
players in double figures as the Northern Illinois Huskies edged the Miami-
Ohio RedHawks, 62-59, in Mid-American Conference action at the Stroh Center.
Aksel Bolin scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Huskies (3-19,
2-8 MAC) who had lost eight of their previous nine. Stian Berg finished with
11 points.
Julian Mavunga and Jon Harris scored 15 points each for the RedHawks (7-15,
3-7) who had won their previous two. Quinten Rollins added 12 points and five
assists and Drew McGhee 11 points off the bench in the setback.
NIU led 30-29 at halftime after going 10-of-24 from the floor. Miami was 12-
of-21 from the field.
Miami led 51-41 midway through the second half but the Huskies closed with a
21-9 run. Berg hit a layup with 39 seconds left to put the Huskies up 60-58
and added two foul shots with just over two seconds left.
Miami had a potential game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer wiped out on an
official review.
The Huskies had a 36-25 rebounding edge.
