Harrisonburg, VA (Sports Network) - Rayshawn Goins recorded a double-double as
the James Madison Dukes defeated the Delaware Blue Hens, 64-50, in Colonial
Athletic Association action at the JMU Convocation Center.
Goins recorded 15 points and 13 boards in the Dukes' (10-10, 4-3 CAA) victory.
Devon Moore was two rebounds shy of a double-double off the bench with 10
points. A.J. Davis scored 16 points and Andre Nation scored 12 points as JMU
snapped its two-game losing streak.
For the Blue Hens (8-11, 3-3), Devon Saddler scored 16 points to go with six
rebounds. Jarvis Threatt recorded 12 points and five boards as Delaware lost
for the third straight game.
The Dukes battled back to a 29-18 advantage at the half. Delaware struggled
shooting making only 5-of-22 from the floor and 0-of-7 from three-point range
in the first 20 minutes.
James Madison started out the second half on an 8-2 run and would never look
back, en route to a 14-point victory.
James Madison dominated the boards with a 48-32 in rebounds while holding a
17-2 edge in fast break points.
