Omaha, NE (Sports Network) - Taylor Braun scored a game-high 22 points as the
North Dakota State Bison held onto the No. 3 seed in the Summit League
Tournament with an 84-57 victory over the Mavericks of Nebraska Omaha at
Ralston Arena.
Marshall Bjorklund contributed 18 points, shooting 8-of-9 from the floor for
the Bison (22-8, 12-4 Summit). TrayVonn Wright added 15 points and six
rebounds as NDSU won for the third time in the last four outings.
For the Mavericks (11-20, 6-10), Marcus Tyus scored a team-high 10 points but
was the only player in double figures as Nebraska Omaha bowed for the second
time in as many games.
In the first half Omaha was held to 10-of-25 shooting from the floor,
including 2-of-6 from long range. NDSU made 17-of-27 field goal attempts,
including 5-of-10 beyond the arc, en route to a 46-26 advantage at the break.
In the second half NDSU continued its impressive shooting, making 13-of-25
from the floor and at the same time held Omaha to a mere 1-of-11 from long
range.
NDSU dominated the boards, 42-25, in order to offset 17 turnovers.
