Normal, IL (Sports Network) - Illinois State football coach Brock Spack
announced Monday that former Ohio State defensive back Dominic Clarke and
former Miami (Fla.) offensive lineman Jermaine Barton have transferred into the
football program.
Clarke, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Frederick, Md., will have two years of
eligibility remaining. He played in 12 games for the Buckeyes in 2011,
recording 12 tackles and three pass breakups. In his career at the Big Ten
school, he played in 25 games and posted 26 tackles, four pass breakups and an
interception.
The 6-7, 310-pound Barton, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will have three years of
eligibility remaining at ISU. He redshirted in his first season at Miami in
2010 and participated as a member of the scout team in 2011.
Illinois State is coming off a 7-4 season.
