Burlington, NC - The hype and presure for top Royals prospect Bubba Starling has been mounting since Day 1.
Wednesday night, in front of a full July 4th crowd at Burlington Athletic Stadium, he did not disappoint.
After flying out in his first at bat, Starling tripled off the centerfield wall in the bottom of the third inning.
A two-run homerun from teammate Patrick Leonard brought Starling home, 3-0 ballgame Burlington.
After grounding out in his third at bat, Starling would walk in the bottom of the 6th inning, and later score.
Starling would walk for the 2nd time of the night in the bottom of the 7th.
The Royals' centerfielder would then hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eight inning.
Starling crossed home plate three times in the game. The Royals won 16-2.
