Carbondale, IL (Sports Network) - Southern Illinois gladly used its recruiting
advantage after running back Malcolm Agnew decided to transfer from Oregon
State.
Agnew's brother Ray can block for Malcolm at SIU. Ray is a Salukis fullback.
SIU head football coach Dale Lennon announced Monday the addition of Malcolm
Agnew to his Missouri Valley Conference program.
Agnew will be a junior for the 2013 season. In two seasons at Oregon State, he
rushed for 692 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Included was a 223-yard, three-touchdown performance in his first collegiate
game in 2011.
Agnew was a former track sprinter at De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis.
