Lutz, Florida (Sports Network) - Bruce Fleisher fired a six-under 65 on Friday
to take the lead after one round of the Encompass Insurance Pro-Am of Tampa
Bay.
Fleisher, an 18-time winner on the Champions Tour, carded seven birdies and a
single bogey to claim first place by himself. He holds a one-stroke lead over
Michael Allen and Chien Soon Lu.
Allen's 66 included eight birdies, but also a double-bogey and bogey, while Lu
stumbled to two bogeys.
Two shots behind Fleisher is a group of five who share fourth. Bernhard
Langer, Corey Pavin, Peter Senior, Russ Cochran and Brad Bryant all shot 67.
