Wake Forest Loses To Miami 74-56

Coral Gables, FL (Sports Network) - Durand Scott and Kenny Kadji each scored 18 points as Miami-Florida downed Wake Forest 74-56 in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at the BankUnited Center.

Rion Brown scored 11 points off the bench as well for Miami-Florida (16-9, 7-5 ACC) which had loss back-to-back games entering play.

Wake Forest (12-15, 3-10) was led by C.J. Harris who scored 14 points and dished out five assists. Chase Fischer added 12 points and Travis McKie chipped in 10 for the Demon Deacons who have lost seven of their last eight.

The teams were deadlocked 34-34 at halftime with Miami-Florida shooting 45.2 percent while Wake Forest was a superior 52.0 percent. The Hurricanes 18-15 advantage from three point range kept the game even.

Miami-Florida went on a 13-0 runs, capped by a Shane Larkin three pointer with 11:45 remaining in regulation, that gave the Hurricanes a 56-42 lead. The Demon Deacons were never able to get within striking distance as they shot 30.4 percent to Miami-Florida's 47.1 percent in the second half.

The Hurricanes outrebounded the Demon Deacons by a commanding 39-24 margin.
