DURHAM, N.C. - Duke has given athletic director Kevin White a contract extension through the 2018-19 school year.

The school announced the extension Wednesday. Terms were not made public, as is customary at the private school. The deal expires June 30, 2019.

The 62-year-old White came to Duke in 2008 from Notre Dame, and since his hiring three Blue Devils teams -- including the 2010 men's basketball team -- have won national championships.
