Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Adam Dunn smacked a two-run home run in the
ninth inning to help the Chicago White Sox rally for a 3-2 win over the
Detroit Tigers in the second of three games.
With Jose Valverde (2-1) on the mound, Alegandro De Aza led off with a single
and Alexei Ramirez followed with a sac bunt that moved De Aza, who had stolen
second, to third base. Dunn then crushed a 1-0 fastball over the wall in
right.
Hector Santiago got the first out of the home ninth, but then walked Jhonny
Peralta. After Andy Dirks flied out, Ryan Raburn doubled to put the tying run
90 feet away from the plate.
Addison Reed then took the mound and struck out Austin Jackson to end the game
for his first career save.
