San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - San Diego Padres outfielder James Darnell
left Thursday's game against the Dodgers with a left shoulder injury.
Darnell landed awkwardly when trying to make a diving catch on a hit off the
bat of Tony Gwynn in the sixth inning. He remained on the field for several
minutes before walking off the field under his own power.
Chris Denorfia replaced him in left field.
The 25-year-old has four hits, including a home run, in 15 at-bats over six
games this season.
