Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Hector Luna had two hits and knocked in
three runs to help the Philadelphia Phillies take a 6-4 decision over the
Miami Marlins in the opener of a three-game set at Citizens Bank Park.
Hunter Pence added three hits, including a two-run home run, and scored three
times in the Phillies' seventh win in nine games.
Kyle Kendrick (2-4) allowed two runs on eight hits and three walks in 5 1/3
innings to earn the win. Jonathan Papelbon left the bases loaded in the eighth
while recording the final five outs of the game for his 15th save of the
season.
Mark Buehrle (5-5) gave up four runs on 11 hits through a five-inning start to
suffer the loss.
Logan Morrison and Justin Ruggiano each homered for Miami, which had its
three-game win streak snapped.
