Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon
dislocated his right thumb during a steal of third base in the eighth inning
of Wednesday's 4-1 win over Cincinnati.
X-rays were negative. He'll have an MRI Thursday.
Gordon stole a pair of bases in the frame, one on a poor call at third when
Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco threw a perfect ball to Todd Frazier. Gordon was
lifted from the game after hurting his thumb on the slide.
Gordon, who leads the majors with 30 steals, is hitting .229 with a homer and
17 RBI in 78 contests this season.
