Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Lou Williams paced five Sixers in double figures
with 20 points, and Philadelphia posted a 107-88 win over the New Jersey Nets
at Prudential Center.
Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young both totaled 19 points and eight rebounds for
the Sixers, who resumed their playoff push by snapping a four-game losing
streak.
Philadelphia entered Tuesday's contest tied with New York for seventh in the
Eastern Conference standings. The Knicks are currently battling the Bulls in
Chicago.
With the win, the Sixers moved two games ahead of the ninth-place Milwaukee
Bucks, who were idle.
Kris Humphries posted a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead New
Jersey, which was outscored 64-48 over the second and third quarters.
Deron Williams had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Nets, who
had won five of their previous seven games.
