Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic extended a qualifying offer
to restricted free agent forward Ryan Anderson on Thursday.
Anderson totaled 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest over 61 games for
the Magic this past season. His efforts, all career highs, earned him the
NBA's Most Improved Player award.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pounder out of California has averaged 10.4 points and 5.3
boards per game over 254 appearances for the Nets and Magic since 2008.
Orlando can match any offer sheet which another club may provide.
