Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Moments after using their amnesty clause
on forward Elton Brand, the Philadelphia 76ers signed guard Nick Young to a
reported one-year contract.
Reports also place the value of Young's contract at $6 million, although the
team did not release the official numbers.
Young split last season between the Wizards and Clippers and averaged 14.2
points per contest while shooting 36.5 percent from three-point range. He
spent all but the latter part of last season with the Wizards, and, in a five-
year career, has per-game averages of 11.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.9
assists.
