San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Silver Stars signed guard
Loree Moore on Friday.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Over five WNBA seasons, all with the New York Liberty, Moore has career
averages of 6.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals.
"I am truly excited, thankful and blessed about this great opportunity," Moore
said. "Not only do I get to be part of a great organization with tremendous
fans but reconnect with some great people and friends of mine in Vickie
Johnson, Becky Hammon, Shameka Christon and Tangela Smith. I've always
followed the Silver Stars and admired what Dan Hughes has done in San Antonio
over the years."
Moore, though, hasn't played in the WNBA since 2009. She sat out the 2010
season to rehab a knee injury suffered during training camp and is currently
playing for Chevakata of the Russian League.
