Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings decided to place
wide receiver Percy Harvin on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, ending
his 2012-13 campaign.
The fourth-year pro has not suited up for a contest and has hardly practiced
since severely spraining his ankle in a 30-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks
back in Week 9.
At the time of his injury, the versatile Harvin was atop the league in
receptions (62) and kick return average (35.9).
The 24-year-old finished his 2012 campaign with 677 yards receiving and three
touchdowns while rushing for another score on 22 carries totaling 96 yards. He
also amassed 574 yards and a touchdown on 16 kick returns.
