Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Nicklas Backstrom scored 2:56 into the second
overtime to lift the Washington Capitals to a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins
in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series at TD Garden.
Backstrom beat Tim Thomas from the left circle -- nearly the identical spot on
the ice where Boston's Chris Kelly notched the overtime-winner in Game 1 --
with a wrister off a feed from Marcus Johansson.
The series shifts to Washington for Game 3 on Monday.
