Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - New Jersey Devils defenseman Mark Fayne
underwent surgery on his left wrist Monday and will be sidelined for the next
three-to-four months.
Fayne had the scapholunate ligament of his left wrist repaired just two weeks
after the Devils fell to the Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Fayne played all six games in that series but did not register a point. He
totaled three assists and six penalty minutes the entire postseason.
During the regular season, Fayne's second in the NHL, the New Hampshire native
scored four goals and 17 points in 82 games.
