Carson, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Galaxy revealed Friday that the
club has acquired striker Chandler Hoffman from the Philadelphia Union in
exchange for a conditional pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
Hoffman was selected by the Union with the 13th overall pick in the 2012 MLS
SuperDraft out of UCLA. He appeared in seven games during his rookie season
with Philadelphia, making two starts.
The 22-year-old was a three-year star with the Bruins, averaging better than a
goal every two games. In his final collegiate season, Hoffman led the Pac-12
and finished fourth in the country with 18 goals.
