Kickoff to Kindergarten at the Children's Museum
August 23, from 11am - 2pm
Children's Museum of Winston-Salem 390 South Liberty Street - Here's a wonderful opportunity to help prepare your child for that first day of school. Children will meet Buster, the talking miniature school bus, and have the opportunity to climb aboard an actual school bus to learn about bus safety. There will be a "pretend" lunch line (featuring healthy snacks), a drawing for a backpack filled with school supplies, crafts, a puppet show, and a special "Help Your Child Succeed in School" resource center especially for parents. Plus, everyone will have the opportunity to explore the Museum.
Cost is $7 per person, members/under 1 free

Wake Forest Fan Fest 2008

The Wake Forest Athletic Department invites you and your family to spend an evening with your favorite Demon Deacons. You'll have the opportunity to meet coaches and players from all of Wake Forest fall sports teams - football, men's and women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and cross country. Take pictures, get autographs, and even try on equipment. Pick up posters and schedules, play interactive games, and enjoy free popcorn and drinks. Chicken, pizza, and barbeque will be available for purchase. There will even be special appearances by the Demon Deacon and the WFU cheerleaders! The event is free of charge!
